Why would anyone doubt the justice system in Mississippi? It's not like they'd cover up a hate crime by framing a black man. /S
Lover / stalker is plausible suspect.
And they are more likely to be the same race as the victim.
Black people, and this cannot be stated enough, would never knowingly inflict the horrors of lynching upon their community, doubly so in the south. If you see a hanging, assume hate crime until you have extreme evidence otherwise.
Let's see what the court decides.
