That, and I dunno. The older I get the more I start to agree that maybe lots of motherfuckers really shouldn't be trusted with technology.
The Brotherhood's original intentions were more or less sound, it's just that like with all religious and quasi-religious organizations the internal power structure and rituals eventually became more important than the mission, and as everyone kind of went whackadoodle as a result the whole thing rather went off the rails.
I think part of the problem is that Bethesda doesn't really seem to have a good critical understanding. They like the superficial stuff, like children. Like this meme, I guess.
I think it depends on your BOS chapter. Fallout 3? Okey dokey. Fallout 4? You're gonna need some rad-x.
