I'm gonna buck the trend here and say to get a coil spring mattress.
I picked up a king from my local, like, alternative to Walmart, and it's a coil spring mattress by Sealy or Tempur-Pedic, and it's a little bit harder than I wish it was.
But I threw a 3-inch memory foam mattress topper on top of it, and it's like sleeping on a cloud.
That being said, the reason why I recommend a coil spring mattress over a straight memory foam mattress is sexy times.
Coil spring makes for vastly more capable and entertaining fun sexy times in my personal experience.
The only annoyance that I have is, like, continuously re-locking in the mattress topper because it likes to slide around a little bit.
That and I had to get deep pocket sheets for the bed to cover the distance from both the mattress and the topper.
Still worth it. It gives you like an automatic plus one to your sexy times capabilities as a guy.
And the whole kit, it was like $500, $550 for the king mattress, and then another $175 for the topper, but that's honestly not that bad, before a mattress that feels just as soft and comfy as a $1,200 mattress, but gives you the fuck power of a twin in a dorm room
This guy fucks.
Not gonna lie, I broke my one and a half year dry streak like three hours before I posted this, lol.
