Pin the Canadian dollar to the euro, please. Make travel easier, please. Scrap Visa and Mastercard for whatever the card is they are developing (I wanna say wero), please.
Well, the pin makes no sense. Our economies differ significantly and Canada benefits from a floating dollar.
But the spirit is correct, adopting EU rules and regulations for closer proximity to a common market makes great sense.
Wero isn't a card, it's a mobile payment system that requires a Google or Apple approved phone unfortunately. Ain't no escaping America with that.
I don't think there's any serious effort to have a payment card that's not American but works across all of the EU. Some countries have their own cards though.
Why the hell would we want to pin the CAD with the EUR?
I think everyone is working on alternatives
