The "interview"

It's literally the perfect business model, like the one refined by ad-based mobile game companies, but even easier.

Agents troll for the news. Agents right up the news. It's fed to a video agent that reads the news. No need for human intervention. No need for any pesky slowdowns. Everything is ready in moments from the moment it happens.

Unfortunately, we're going to lose integrity, accuracy, and virtually everything else that we need in the news source.

It's going to be unwatchable but they will still shove it in our face until they find out they can't really make that much money from it. But they won't hire the real people back again because then they'd have to admit they were wrong so they will just not have serious news anymore and even more people will get informed from podcasts and youtubers and other alternative media. These people in the Entertainment Business would rather destroy a business than pay people.

These people in the Entertainment Business would rather destroy a business than pay people.

Capitalism.

Friend of mine told me his boss said he'd rather burn the place to the ground than let the workers unionize.

So far as I know, that boss never suffered any personal violence, despite treating everyone like shit.

Give him time. It sounds like he's working on the discrepancy right now.

We already don't have integrity and accuracy from most news sources.

Okay, now broaden your conclusions. Imagine the level of distrust is even earned because we don't know what to fucking think. Because everywhere we look, there's a different message.

I get this mark, but I think that you're underestimating the damage that we're going to be seeing in the very near term.

Good point. With AI news we'll be able to trust it more because the message will be consistent across multiple sources and delivered reliably, compellingly, with conviction, and targeted to the current desires, fears and prejudices of the viewer. All of this will help to maintain a sense of trust, and shape your worldview.

Human beings are, for the most part, not mentally equipped to deal with this. We already see a significant part of the population lost in constructed realities. That's the tip of the iceberg.

Sounds like Americans will get the news they deserve

I mean literally everyone will. All media will become a cesspool of magnificently curated garbage. That's going to transcend national boundaries.

Honestly, I think you'd be right at home here. You're sort of one of us now.

What you're saying is almost verbatim Trump's fans claiming that they voted for him and will endure whatever pain he dishes out just to own the libs.

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
