I really like the cold brew setups that have a drain hole at the bottom. I use a reusable cotton bag that makes filtering and cleanup a bit easier.
I do 10 or 12 ounces of coffee (a whole regular bag or a quarter of the big bag) into about a liter of water and let it sit for 18-36 hours. I dilute it with about three parts water, my partner drinks it about half and half with creamer.
That sounds about the same ratios I use, makes a solid concentrate.
How long does it last you?
And yeah the drain hole on the cold brew maker helps tons. I used to use a "coffee sock" and had to hold the bag up by hand for a while or hang it from the cupboard. Not ideal!
The liter of concentrate lasts us about a week to ten days. It definitely tastes better/fresher the first day or two, but not enough to bother making smaller batches.
