US chicken companies pioneered restricting sleep to keep birds eating around the clock.

A new study (Li et al., 2026) recommends giving chickens just 2 hours of darkness nightly to maximize the time they spend eating. The study and photo are Chinese.

We know chickens have far better hapiness with 7–8 hours of darkness to sleep.

But they eat more and grow faster when they are sleep deprived.

But if your whole thing is to just come into these posts to argue with vegans

fairly certain that this post has nothing to do with vegans and everything to do with chickens.

I don't come here to argue with vegans. Vegans come to these posts of their own volition. If anything I'm a huge supporter of free-range vegans that feel it necessary, nay, compelled to argue of their own accord.

I'm just here as an innocent bystander, eating my tendies and being unfairly judged by vegans through their smug sense of moral superiority. no different than the christofascists that tell nonbelievers that they will burn in hell for all eternity for not accepting jesus christ as lord.

ironically, vegans have another thing in common with christofascists. Having a victim simplex so powerful they tend to make the actual problem about themselves. here's a post about mistreatment of chickens, and yet many users like yourself have made it about how poorly people treat vegans.

shame on you!

Wow, how long did it take you to type all this? I must have really struck a nerve when I called you out for being a psycho. Maybe consider not doing that, and you're really not helping your case here.
