MODERATORS
It takes far less land to meet dietary needs with vegan food than with diets that include meat.
40% of worldwide grain production is used for animal feed. The calories obtained from eating the animal ~10% of what is used to feed the animal. We could fully replace meat, calorically, and free up more than a third of the land worldwide that is used for agriculture.
I'm not even vegan, but there is undeniably less environmental footprint to eating more plants and less meat.
