MODERATORS
Once had to drive someplace with my brother, but in separate cars. He was taking his car, and I got to follow in our mum's family van.
90% of that drive I was flooring it, and generally driving like a racecar driver ...except that I was still moving at a snail's pace.
Of course, upon arrival my brother started giving me shit for going slow. And he did not believe that the car couldn't go faster. So, we agreed to swap cars for the drive back home.
Never had I seen him concede so readily that he was wrong. ๐
I don't know man I've driven some Honda Odysseys and Dodge Pacificas that could fuckin MOVE.
Well, yeah, because those have an appropriate amount of horsepower under the hood.

In the back of my head, I did also have this tidbit:
So, take a car frame with the weight and height of a family van and put it onto the powertrain of a small car.
Like, genuinely, I'm finding Meriva's being sold online with 75 horsepower, which is as much as the Opel Corsa had back then.
The Corsa wasn't exactly known as a sports car either, so I'm really not surprised that its family van edition can't accelerate. ๐
Holy moly, inline 3 for a passenger van is just saying fuck you to any traffic that dares share the road with you that day.
