I'm looking for recommendations for a no-pull harness that doesn't have to go over my dog's head. Ideally, something that buckles around the shoulders.
The harness I have now slips over her head and then clips around her shoulders. The problem is that she HATES having anything pulled over her head. She'll be super excited to go outside, but the second I grab the harness, she runs away. I've basically resorted to leaving it on her all day so I don't have to put it on and take it off repeatedly.
She's also very sensitive to anything tightening around her neck. Even at the vet, I have to ask them not to use the rope/slip leashes because she'll freak out if it tightens. She's a rescue who was dumped on the side of the road by a puppy mill, so I suspect there's some history behind that reaction.
My mom has a step-in harness for her dog, which would be perfect in terms of getting it on and off. The problem is that my dog is half Husky (aka half sled dog) and she pulls. A lot. And yes, we've worked on loose-leash training.
So I'm trying to find the best of both worlds, a good no-pull harness that either steps into or buckles completely around her, with nothing that needs to be pulled over her head. Bonus points if it's quick and easy to get on and off.
Does anyone know of such a harness, or am I destined to end up on Shark Tank?

I got something like This for my dog which clips around the neck instead of sliding over the head. She was a ch0nky girl at the time and there wasn't a collar made that she couldn't slip off if she wanted.
