Quite frankly, Democrats just aren't going to rally behind a candidate the way Republicans do. Republicans can promise much less and still expect a decent turnout.

The first female president will be a Republican, a nightmarish ghoul, and the source of a significant amount of right wing deflection. Everything liberal women are saying now, justifiably, will be twisted in to an evil, disingenuous retort. And that will only be a distraction from the nightmare president this woman is going to be.

The first female president will have no way to climb the ladder without being horrifyingly competent. Savvy enough to know when to look like an idiot without ever being one. Manipulative enough to not only work a crowd but work a room of powerful people.

Men can get by knowing the right people and being charming. Women have to know the right people, be charming, and absolutely crush any opposition to their ascent.

This man has pulmonary edema. I've heard that voice before. If fluid is building up in his lungs, and it sure sounds like it is, he's not going to survive to run again. The best medical care in the world won't fix that. Just, slow it down.

While I'm sure many small privately owned companies are donating their old food, large organizations like national grocers and fast food chains have standing policies that prohibit franchisees from donating any food.

Donated food is free food. People who get free food are not paying customers. They'll say they're worried about a lawsuit, but what they're actually trying to accomplish is maintaining the absolute maximum number of paying customers.

Those are the two best episodes, hands down. Its like the writers were finally told to take off the restraints and do something fun because it didn't matter anymore, and they smashed it out of the park.

I do love enterprise. It's a little sad that it's high point is an alternate universe. But like, most of the series is "the crew gives Archer their best advice, which he ignores, and creates a problem for everyone."

I mean, yeah, the math checking out doesn't necessarily mean it's physically possible. That's pretty much my point. It's just mathematically possible. I think a lot of people are hearing that Alcubierre came up with a warp drive solution from YouTube science communicators and running with the narrative that "it's possible, we just gotta figure out negative mass!" And not stopping to think about how absurd that idea is.

I mean, how would we even measure negative mass? If an object has negative mass it would be repelled out of the universe. It would repel itself. The binding forces of the universe kind of depend on at least some mass.

All of that to say, those are physics problems. Not math problems. Insurmountable sure, but mathematically calculable.
