For me it's been communities like /r/buildapc, /r/buildapcforme, /r/buildapcsales, /r/gamedeals, and /r/consoledeals have been useful throughout the years.

I glanced briefly, but couldn't find a topic on it. What's the stance on NSFW (i.e. porn, art, etc.)?

Most instances (servers) don't allow porn because it needs constant content moderation (laws against CP and other nasty stuff). They simply don't want the liability. But it's not forbidden to create a server that allows/hosts pornographic stuff. I bet we will see some porn servers in the near future.

Definitely gonna happen. Reddit are going to ban or quarantine pornographic content sooner or later, and the moment that happens, you're gonna see the major subs set up Lemmy instances or their own standalone sites.
