Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

One of the countries that fucked the world economy is experiencing rising prices. How sad. How ever bad things are in iran I hope they get much worse.
Israel and America shot first.
Human beings that don't operate in any governmental capacity are suffering. You want innocent people to suffer?
Also, when you talk about countries fucking the world economy I have one that comes to mind first and it certainly isn't Iran.
They choose their government and choose to attack civilian trade vessels that the world relies on that was their decision. That crosses a line. For that I blame every person in Iran and from every country involved in the conflict.
I dont know why youve come to sweep for Iran and try to turn the blame towards the US as if I dont also blame the US. They tariffed my country and started the war im also pissed at them.

But I do feel you somewhat on this the thing is Iran is fighting for its survival as an independent nation right now. Its being attacked and is fighting back. Also fuck the Iran government there's a lot wrong there but still, if my home is attacked I'm going to put up no trespassing signs and shoot anyone who crosses them. That's just the way it is.
Would you suggest they just let the US take them over like they did Venezuala?
The truth of it is that the US shouldn't have swung it's dick around like it has been. The US and Israeli government caused this. Iran just retaliated.
No its extremely obvious and I addressed it in the first sentence of my original post.
I would suggest Iran get on with their neighbours if they dont want war but seeing as they have not done anything remotely close I have no sympathy. You can understand why someone does something and still think the action is bad.
Iran is using the leverage it has. Whereas the US can project its destructive power around the globe to slaughter wholesale political leaders and schoolchildren alike, Iran can close a trade corridor. Iran says, "we are under attack. No ships shall pass through these waters. Any attempting will be fired upon." Before Iran was attacked, there was no restriction on navigation through the SOH. If they didn't restrict this traffic, they would have about zero leverage to negotiate. Blame the US for creating this situation, and refusing to uphold reasonable agreements.
Oh my bad I forgot about that loophole that means if you are attacked then you can start indiscriminately attacking everything and you aren't a massive piece of shit for doing so.
Next you're going to say there is a loophole where you can do terrorist attacks, fight proxy wars, threaten nuclear destruction and then if anyome respondes you act like you are being unfairly aggressed upon.
All parties in this conflict are adults, they all made their choices knowing this is where things would lead. Iran made the choice to make their problem the entire worlds problem and for that its only reasonable to hate them. Same as I do when the US does it.
Loopholes implies rules and laws. It's abundantly clear that those don't exist. They have long been a fiction wielded by "the west" against "lesser" states. Iran is trying to ensure its own survival against a determined aggressor. It seems to me that they have been very measured in their self defense. You and anyone else concerned about the flow of oil are better off pressuring the the countries responsible for the situation, than complaining that Iran isn't capitulating. But hey, you made your choice to be a salty asshole. You're an adult, and you knew where that would lead you. Take your lumps and get a bicycle, I guess.
I live on a tiny island in the middle of the ocean how the fuck am I pressuring either of the two nations. The US like Iran doesnt give a fuck about their own people let alone the rest of the world. Plus theres nothing wrong with me saying fuck Iran. They bombed civilian vessels and plunged the world onto recession. You're out here sweeping for them like they have your family hostage.
You're happy to accept anytime there is a conflict that the participants try and inflict maximum damage on the world because fuck it.
I already bike and I'm lucky enough to be economically unaffected by this. But this is going to destroy millions of lives and cause more wars to breakout. This will never get through to a bootlicking tankie. Id never expect someone like you to empathise with the working class.
