MODERATORS
My mother in law would load bowls on top of glasses and then complain that my dishwasher didn't work because there would still be food stuck to the bowl.

I swear some people must think a dishwasher fills up like a fucking Jacuzzi or something.
Top of the line vs medium of the line. My old dishwasher I could load however I wanted and it would get clean, can’t double stack with this one.
I think it’s how the spray arms are designed, my current one has 6 holes per arm, where I think my old one had 18 or so.
I think your MIL is my wife 😅
But, in order to believe this, she must have had a dishwasher that she could load that way, no?
I suppose it's also possible yours was the only dishwasher she'd ever used, washing dishes by hand otherwise.
My parents never owned a dishwasher, they had four kids. We were the dishwashers.
