As an Ontarian New Brunswick is often seen as a "flyover" province.

As a bilingual Ontarian who has partied with NB'ers I'd compare them more to the MOST CANADIAN than any euro accolade or designation.

It's a huge island with some urban pockets and lots of rural wooded space. And coastline. And both official languages. Aside from a glacier it has everything this great country can offer and the people reflect that.

Belgium is a joke by comparison.

I agree with a lot of what you said (except the island part, what do you mean there?), but your final sentence seems overly dismissive of Belgium.

Beer, comics, chocolate, they have a lot going for them and that's just what I know from peering in.
