It's a joke and I get it, but that period can be so taxing that moms fall asleep and then roll into their child, suffocating them. It's devastating. Yes, baby will want to be held but you can train them over time. Don't give up.
Not true, where do you have your info from? Pretty much everyone I know including myself has co-slept with their babies. I've never heard of a single problem with that, not from them and not in the news. However, if it gets taxing to the point of passing out, have the dead and some aunties step in and let the mom take time off!
Edit: no, you should not let the dead care for your baby! Maybe ask the dad first.
Western theory says co-sleeping is the most evil thing since the devil.
This is done to ensure maximum pain for parents.
It's done to sell shit like cribs, blackout curtains, noise machines, pacifiers, etc, and to get mothers back to work sooner
