Taking that away to avoid a tiny chance of death? It's up to you. I chose the small risk. I chose many small risks throughout my kid's life because I believed taking them all away and coddling them from every danger would make for a very reduced learning experience and a lot less love and fun.

I agree. Unless we're drugged, we're far more aware of our surroundings when asleep than most people realize. It's very unlikely that an undrugged person would roll over onto a baby and suffocate it.

I believe in most Western countries these theories are outdated by now. Nobody criticized my cosleeping in the early 2000s, it was already debunked as a cause of SIDS. Maybe that's different in the US?
