MODERATORS
They're not daemons, they're background processes. And don't mind the circuit boards that resemble mouths screaming in eternal agony forever trapped in silent slavery in an inescapable copper maze. It's just coincidence, probably.
Good thing we got rid of the modems that let them to vocalise their screams.
Did you not know about the magical incantations that would silence them? The AT codes for the modem were a lifesaver if you were trying to get on the internet without anyone knowing.
Could've sure used this back in the day
