Because they live in filth, and they are the symbol for gluttony. Also hard working? Do pigs work? So they do anything except eat and be eaten?
They live in filth only if we force them to. I mean yeah, pigs are nature's garbage disposal, people used to keep a pig, feed it table scraps, and they turn said scraps into bacon...
They also fertilize land and turn over poor soils turning substandard land into productive arable land in a hurry.
Pigs are hugely utilitarian animals for a human population and have been thought history

Once domesticated, yes, wild... boars are not fun
Domesticated pigs can quickly become not fun if they think they will get away with it.

Have you seen what pigs that aren't kept in prisons are like?
They range extensively, they don't wallow in filth and shit.
How would you bshave in a cell without plumbing?
