Interested in learning what other regulations are going to be in place to keep the power output of that turbo V8 down to a reasonable level (~1000hp).
Itβs probably the same stuff we have now, like fuel flow and boost pressure. Unless they lose their minds and allow insane power, these are likely to be very low stress engines by f1 standards. So probably shouldnβt expect 18,000rpm screamers like the old v8βs.
Think I would have preferred a 2.0 V8 if it must be turbo. The teams trying to squeeze blood from stone makes it more interesting from an engineering perspective. But this will probably really close the gap in engine performance between manufacturers, for better or for worse.
