- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.

Why are you dreaming of magical solutions?
There have been national strikes in the world, like India, but the USA's standard of living is much too high for that. Nobody else has managed a national strike under similar conditions, it's unheard of. It's never been done.
Besides, your country is probably still using US dollars and accepting US aid, you can't even stop enabling the international beast yourselves. But you have to work and feed your family, we get it.
Jokes on you and the thousands of dead people from starvation and preventable diseasw. The Trump admin got rid of USAID and our other means of international aid have been significantly curtailed too.

Probably several presidents who raped children, people who seek power tend to be shitbags. They have all been smarter than trump.

Reasons that make sense are only "excuses" if you already decided any reason couldn't be valid ahead of time. America bad tho, true. All American bad.

I have heard the following shitty excuses:
It's never been done. That does not preclude anything from being done the first time
USA is too big. A strike means people stop working, ideally yes they show up somewhere to make it visible but you do not need to be anywhere specific for that. Everybody can strike in their own town
Re doing something small like boycotting Meta/Google: it will do nothing.
Re doing anything that requires any sacrifice: I am not willing to be DIE for this.
Re doing anything civil like writing to congress: they will just not care.

Disagree. And I disagree wholeheartedly.
I heard/read quite a few of those type of excuses (and they are excuses, not reasons) when Renee Good and Alex Pretti were murdered and I was asking why no fucker was doing anything about it.
I have since lost hope, so much so that I have now pretty much stopped complaining about the us population being lazy, or complicit/evil, or complacent.
I got sick of, well, complacency.
Christ, I have had the "america is a large country. It's impossible to (insert excuse here)....", on three different occasions by three different commenters about three different Donvict Drumpf based issues.
So, yeah, I see very little of that type of comment now.. but only because I can't be arsed anymore. I now just call the fat orange imbecile a paedo and move on.
