Sounds like you've been lucky so far. My friend's aunt's niece's coworker's unborn child's boyfriend died because they hadn't prepared enough. Took them by complete surprise and they hadn't stocked up on your average "fall" necesities.
I have a friend who stocked 50 gallon drums with pumpkin spice latte in his bomb shelter.
