I think "reasonable metrics and achievable KPIs" works better. You don't really "achieve" a metric, it's the scale that measures your achievements. KPIs have achievable "goals".
I would have said "scalable metrics" but we were talking about climbing mountains and I didn't want to garner confusion. (small rimshot)
