I believe I have heard of that before. Interesting name for these.
Smarties are a different candy in other countries. More of an M&M, candy coated chocolate.
Crucially though, peanut free. So, very popular for elementary schools around Halloween, where M&Ms are not allowed. Also, lots of places would hand out Smarties instead because itβs more accessible.
