Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Let it happen in silence. Like donating time / money / or anything else to help those in need. Don’t need to call out you’re being a good person, just be a good person. Do the right thing and let him pass silently into obscurity.
Sometimes it's good to spread this kind of negative publicity, especially where positive action is needed for the person in question to succeed.
I agree. But only because I understand that the world in which I grew up is gone. The level of being able to profit off of and market oneself off of being a complete fucking loser and failure is too damn high.
I wish we could just point and laugh at awful people having funny things happen to them without them remaining relevant because of it. The fucking attention economy is awful.
Sort of a strange analogy to me because raising awareness is actually a very important part of charity.
The world has changed, or reverted back to a period where fascists will support each other to insulate the most at risk through their own “charity” to try to mitigate the dying or regression of their movement. You have to learn what their tactics are and respond accordingly, which in today’s case is to ignore them instead of point and laugh. There will soon be a time for that, too.
Okay, I'm not going to refute any of that. Taking your comment at face value still makes the original a strange analogy, because raising awareness is important for charity. You shouldn't do charity in silence, is my point more than anything.
I’m not sure you’re understanding who is doing the charity - we’re talking about the fascists doing charity for each other in this case. They’re literally fund raising for each other when they are going viral, it’s like anti cancel culture in their minds. So by raising awareness, you’re literally helping them. Raise awareness of fascist tactics, of bad and deadly policy, of prosecutions, demand local leaders take action, but stop posting social media posts and comments and that just bring attention to individual fascists you don’t like, because that’s just helping them. If you need to report them to authorities, just do that.
