She lit up a cigarette in front of all of us, took a few deep drags, then put the cigarette on some plastic + foam model of the lungs, to show them getting soaked with tar.

The 90s were a wild time. Teachers smoking cigarettes and in class in front of 7yo's and performing social experiments on casual racism. And people wonder why millennials need so much more mental healthcare than previous generations. We're the last ones who sat on the rug, Indian Style.
