If you're working in the Linux console alone, you could also
sshinto your Pi and, for instance, have your local machine on virtual consoletty1and the Pi ontty2, switching between them with ALT+Fx. Still only one monitor. ๐Ah but how do you enable ssh if you've forgotten to enable it (again!) from the initial firmware load on the SD card...?
Lol. Been there, done that. ๐ 'twas a long time ago now, but was it not simply naming a file ssh or sshd and putting it in the root directory? But then you'd have to have created a non superuser user and set a password too? Ah... My memory fails me. Better luck doing:
