He exchanged a brief hug with representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and smiled for 5 seconds.
Immediatly, politicians went wild

He smiled 5 seconds in a 5 hour ceremony and they accuse him of celebrating terrorism.
Here is the video. You can clearly see that he was stoic, he hugged her, then he immediatly went back to being stoic.
At the same 9/11 ceremony, JD Vance and Howard Lutnick laughed and joked.

The US is more racist than I ever imagined.
As a counter, I’ve never seen anywhere more racist in my life than Spain. And from what I’ve heard of the rest of Europe, they’re pretty damn racist as well.
They do have a lot of conservatives, unfortunately. Wherever conservatism is permitted to fester, bigotry will also fester.

Europe is super racist but they convince themselves that they aren't because they refuse to talk about it.
I think the US is more institutionally racist but less socially racist (depending heavily on where you are) but it's because have more extremes here. Our antiracist movement encourages talking openly about racism instead of pretending it doesn't exist.
