I really hope the Slate truck is everything they say it will be. Its lack of spyware is a pretty compelling reason to buy one.

My biggest concern with it is Bezos' involvement.

I looked it up now, slate truck. Seems like a good idea. I never cared for infotainment at all.

I do, but only in the aspect of using Android auto/Apple carplay....

Anything else available from the infotainment system is usually just to facilitate that connection for me.

I already have everything on my phone, why do I also need it on my dash?

Same here. I wish Canada had a company making something similar since I’d rather not support the US economy. Choose your poison, I guess.

Mexico is making something similar. But it has max speed of like 50

That makes it pretty useless. Sometimes you need to go on highways or between cities. Is it 50 miles or 50 kilometers?

Kph. It's a great little EV for the city of Mexico.

And they really need it. The cars running on fossil fuels there destroy the air quality

He's an investor, I'm not sure how big of a stake he has and I wish he didn't have one but I'm happy to have an option to not be surveilled by my own vehicle.
