Boycott US
Overview:
The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.
Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.
America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.
America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

Y'all could, you know, just stop buying so much crap. Just sayin'.
Maybe learn the difference between "need" and "want"? That's a good place to start.
Yep. More important than where you buy things is how much you buy. Best we can do is just boycott everything. Keep your overall economic participation to a minimum.
And when you must buy, try first to do direct local dealings instead of going through middlemen.
I buy my tea from the people growing it, not from some massive repackager and brander, for example.
It's not always possible, but it's possible more often than people think and you tend to get better stuff at a lower price anyway.
some people have impulse control problems, so that's a very bold thing to say on a brand new account
the solution is almost never to shame people
Impulse control problems are induced by the societies we live in, especially by marketing. While you are right to refuse to shame those victim of such, which we all are at different degrees, I think the advice to force ourself to reconsider our needs before buying is a good one. Isn't it?
that's true, i just wanted to point out that the real evil are the companies that abuse our deficiencies
