With scarce resources no one's going to drive around in hot rods
Billionaires fly around in their private jets despite price and environmental impacts, so if they choose to, rich people absolutely would be driving around in hot rods
I think you underestimate the lengths stupid people will go to to drive hotrods
Yes of course, in the apocalypse everyone will be driving brand new, unmodified cars.
