MODERATORS
Not whom you asked, but in my experience and from what I've read on the webs, WD's reliability is a coin toss. Some drives keep chugging for years and years, other ones croak too soonish.
For HDD I only buy WD, especially so with external drives. From my experience they are the only one really reliable ones. I have purchased a few times other brands, mostly Seagate and that was a coin toss to me, and another brand I don't remember, was a total disaster. Off course just speaking from personal experience. I don't like this being "blindly" brand loyal, but with WD I get reliance. And no I'm not an advertisement agent, just noticed it sounds like that, lol.
