I'll continue not giving them money. It literally costs me nothing.
The cost is in a less diverse media landscape. These companies don't just make movies - they operate television, news, online, etc. This well have wide ranging effects over the next year and beyond.

And every money not given to them loosens their stranglehold. It might cause a temporary content drought, but we've had those before and lived.
Sure, but not really the point. This affects everyone even if they're not wasting money on it directly.
