Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

MODERATORS
Why are all this discussions centered in 1880 industrial England? Less than 10% of people work in manufacturing in Western economies, time to come up with better examples maybe? Do you also live in a house with a clock on the front wall?
This was originally published in 1937, so
It applies to more than just manufacturing by using manufacturing as a generic exmaple. If a person works at a restaurant and makes $X worth of meals every day, if a person works at a software company and makes $X worth of software every quarter, etc.

Dont like selling your software to your boss? Sell it to clients directly and pocket the difference! The means of production are literally a laptop and an internet connection, about 200 dollars capex for a decent ThinkPad and 30 opex, free if you go to a library.
