You can even get ads in Linux or at least you used to. I dont know if Ubuntu still does that.
Kubuntu does not, thankfully. last time I used Ubuntu was headless as a server 10+ years ago, Gnome didn't support VR when I decided on Kubuntu
Technically, you get an ad for their Expanded Security Maintenance when logging into a headless Ubuntu server. This can be removed by disabling the esm repo, but still: One of the first things you see when logging into an unmodified Ubuntu server is an ad.
That's some how the most cursed thing I think I'll see all day. And it's only 6am
