I'm a bit more open minded; who really knows what's going on beyond the reality that we see and interact with on a daily basis.
That said, I do think that anyone who claims to be an expert on that stuff is full of shit and either lying to everyone else or themselves.
Though my name comes from understanding enlightenment in a Buddhist sense is real, though even that isn't as mystical as it can seem to the unenlightened. It's just the process of growing wiser and "enlightenment" is the moment of epiphany when some piece of wisdom clicks.
Like one of the early ones I remember having is realizing that doctors, police, or whatever authority people are just people like anyone else, they have good days and bad days where they might just want whatever problem you have for them to go away rather than get solved. Some are diligent workers, some cheated their way to where they are, some failed upwards. Some think "I don't know" threatens their position and will instead lie with confidence, assuming you'll never know any better. Some assume they even know better without actually knowing and just act on that.
It's obvious in hindsight but felt pretty profound when it clicked in my mind.
