It's not that beef is better than chicken, it's about variety... And how you're feeling that day...
Yeah, personal preference also. I think I rank beef below chicken, pork, and turkey, but above lamb in general, but specific dish can change that.
Though I was talking about steaks, maybe a better comparison would have been to say that I'd take a beef lo mein or a decent (beef or whatever) hamburger over a steak any day.
Sounds like you haven't had decent quality meat, which makes sense if you don't like it, because it's generally more expensive, and why would you pay more for something you don't like ๐
The point of a steak is you can actually taste the meat itself, as opposed to it being overpowered by the seasoning or sauce.
