I've been working on a simple bot for posting game threads in my spare time for fun. Wondering if it's worth hosting (and if the mods are okay with it).

I know the community is quite slow, so I'm not sure if posting a bunch of game threads would help or not.

To prevent flooding the community with empty match threads, the bot for !football@sopuli.xyz only creates threads for matches if someone @‘s the bot to request it directly — maybe that would work?

I'm just curious: is there a reason we don't want the empty threads? And I get it, but I feel like the threads themselves would be to drive the engagement. Like, I'm probably not gonna @ the bot, I'm a simple man, but if I pop in here and there's a thread for the Rongos, I'll certainly pop in and share my thoughts.

I don't really get it either, but lots of people say it discourages them when they go to a community and see a lot of threads with no comments, especially if the threads are from a bot poster.
