Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

I'm Norwegian, and I regularily drive a EV a good distance to visit my parents. I can inform you that the range is indeed reduced noticabily in the winter.
My route is around 350km and includes crossing over a mountain range. My EV has a range of around 300km, which is on the lower end for EVs. In the summer, I can make the trip with a single charging stop around midway. During the winter, I need to charge at least twice during that trip.
It's not that I mind charging an additional time, but let's be honest about how temperature affects range.
Maybe Ford did something crazy with their 2025 EVs? I was getting 300km of the stated 350... E18/E6 clear weather dry asphalt. So pretty ideal conditions other than cold.
My route is Road 134 over Haukelifjell which could be heavily affected by other driving conditions. But even when I drive on cold days with no other particular conditions, the battery percent drops a lot quicker.
