That’s a sensible choice only if your end goal is an ever shittier thing.
As someone else pointed out you’re on the tip of going full third reich and you can’t even rise up like French school kids.
It’s a cowards choice, not a sensible choice.
And you’d have America rush past that tip rather than pull back. You’re an accelerationist who rallys for the deaths of millions because you’ve decided it’s inevitable.

No, I’d rather Americans actually revolt and change the outcome.
You would rather America goes third reich in 12 more years. You’re a fascist who wants the path of least resistance to it.
Unfortunately there's not much I can do as an individual besides protesting and educating people about the issues with our current system, and voting for the least bad choices within the constraints of that system. It would be great if everyone in the US could unify and reform the government but there's just not enough support for that yet.

Whatever the answer is, if it's not "vote blue" then your sensible choice is directly responsible for the current dumb fuckery.
Oil prices everywhere are going through the roof.
Inflation is bullshit.
Efforts to mitigate climate change have stalled.
Everyone, particularly Americans, need to do everything possible to evict Trump and have him charged for his many crimes.
After that you can make whatever sensible choice you wish.
The sensible choice wasn’t at a poll, it never has been.
