This meme isn't a leftist critique. It's literally a both sides demobilisation device.
If you asked a hard right strategist how to engage leftists in their campaign, it would be exactly this. Get them to portray their only viable candidate as being the same as the alternative.
No leftist thinks democrats are left. Only liberals think that and they are right wing.
actually, I am a leftist who went past Marx while at uni studying neomarxism in 2003; I think Democrats (US) are right wing cos they are by any reasonable light, but also due to the Overton window are left in America and therefore should be supported over even more right wing reactionaries
