Let's game this out. Assume what he was saying is true. Prices went up because Democrats have environmental regulations. Ok, cool. So the Democrats are protecting the environment? What an excellent endorsement.

When did prices shoot up? Just this year, right? Did the Democrats add these regulations this year then? Even though the House, Senate, and White House are controlled by Maga, somehow the party controlling all branches of the federal government was sidelined and wasn't able to stop it. Is he saying the Maga party, and by extension the President, is weak and feckless? Bold of him to say.

However, Occam's Razor tends to indicate he is full of crap, and that disel prices went up due to fallout from an unwinnable war, initiated by a feckless President, as a distraction from the allegations that he raped children.

Either way, good on the Democrats for protecting the environment, I suppose.

Conservatives (regressives) refuse to accept higher prices for anything, including a higher quality of life. This, of course, only holds true until someone they elected skyrockets their cost of living and then the excuses come pouring in. The problem is they keep electing failures that skyrocket their cost of living without offering them anything in return.

Sometimes you have to pay more for nicer things. Here's a good example. I've spent my entire life in The Valley in California. When I was a kid I'd come down out of the Sierras on the freeway in the summer and you could literally see a thick layer of smog covering the valley with the tops of the skyscrapers peaking out above that layer. Then CA got serious about fuel refinement standards and SMOG laws and now that layer is all but gone. So I pay more TO BREATHE CLEANER AIR. And there's way more people/cars in this valley than there used to be, so these regulations REALLY worked.

And like you mentioned, the cost of living skyrocketing is so clearly and obviously tied to this admin's awful policies that there's no argument in reality against it. The problem is we're all trying to point this out to actual, literal cult members.
