Aging parents aren't your responsibility (if they are, there's something deeply wrong with how they lived their lives).

I don't agree with this at all. People have problems and need help all the time without it being all their fault. If they didn't, there would be almost no homeless people, maybe zero.

There's a definite overlap in this community of people that don't want kids and people that were traumatized by their parents. I totally get that. It seems like some of them also get so fixated on "parent bad" that they paint everyone with the same experience they've had.
