They'll revive it in 2 years.

And the website's IP address will for some reason resolve to a server in Russia.

Wake the fuck up Jill Stein, we've got an election to ratfuck!

[-] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 19 hours ago

she was investigated by the Senate and found not to have received any money from Russia or any other foreign entity.

[-] athatet@lemmy.zip 4 points 13 hours ago

And yet she will still show up to steal votes and get repubs elected.

[-] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 13 hours ago

she's not stealing votes. she's earning them. the votes belong to the voters and they give them to the candidate that earns them.

Ok then where is she? Why has she never attempted to establish a nationwide party and support candidates at the local and state levels?

Why does she completely vanish for exactly 4 years, only to re-emerge just in time to be a spoiler candidate for Democrats in the presidential election?

How do people still fall for this shit??

Are you for real? This is your comeback? She got a misdemeanor for protesting?

If she actually gave a shit about providing an alternative to Democrats on the left, then she should be building a coalition and pushing candidates in state and local races. That's how grassroots organizing works. That's how actually establishing viable third parties works.

Jill Stein has done absolutely fuck all to accomplish her alleged goals. At best she's a useful idiot who appears every four years to siphon votes from Democratic candidates in the presidential election.

[-] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 15 hours ago

she's also backing candidates in their races this year, but you don't follow her instagram

[-] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 15 hours ago

"Backing candidates" by typing out their name on social media.

Now that's how you create viable third parties!

[-] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 15 hours ago

wow. really slipping into a no true scotsman situation here

[-] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

those votes belong to voters, not Democrats. and if she earns them, it's not as though Democrats can't change their position to earn them as well.

Rules:

  1. The mods are fallible; if you've been banned or had a post/comment removed, please appeal.
  2. Off-topic posts will be removed. If you don't know what "Leopards ate my Face" is, try reading this post.
  3. If the reason your post meets Rule 1 isn't in the source, you must add a source in the post body (not the comments) to explain this. If the reason is in the source but is tedious to find (e.g. in a lengthy video), you must add an explanation for where it is.
  4. Posts should use high-quality sources (for a rough idea, check out this list), and posts should retain the title (if one exists) from works like news articles, videos, etc. You may (but need not) edit your post if the source changes the title. (If you're only using an excerpt from an article that's otherwise not about LAMF, you can use the quote in the title.) Other types of posts should have a title which accurately, relatively neutrally describes their contents.
  5. For accessibility reasons, an image of text must either have alt text or a transcription in the post body.
  6. Reposts within 1 year or the Top 100 of all time are subject to removal. Within moderator discretion, this doesn't just include reposts of the exact same media but also includes e.g. a secondary source telling basically the exact same story as another that was already posted.
