that's an effect of the demographic transition. society stopped having a dozen kids each so maybe three or four make it to 20. now they expect all (or nearly all) to survive to adulthood.
We can fix that.
We are working on it as fast as we can!
Alright , alright, alright. What's the fastest disease we can spread to kill children? We need something where if one kid leaves a room, another kid can walk into the room an hour later and catch the disease. Something that can infect a whole school basically at once.
Any ideas? What's the fastest spreading disease you can think of?
