This may come as a shock to you, but the average American citizen has no control over what headlines are printed. Every major news outlet is the US is owned by a billionaire Trump donor who will not broadcast our dissent.
Remember that this worldwide rise is authoritarianism is only possible because terminally online people with empty lives have been served an emotional diet of the junk food that is hate and bigotry. If you do the same, if you hate the US like you're being told, then congratulations, you're no better than the people who voted for this; you've fallen for the same trick.
The major news outlets only dominate because Americans consume them.
Independent media exists. Private Eye here being a perfect example. It prevails because British consumers purchase it and similar independent media.
Your comment implies Americans are powerless to change anything when that's far from the truth.
P.S. I and many others hate the US for far more than mere brain dead bigotry based on a junk food diet of algorithmic hate. It has caused unquantifiable death and suffering around the world for decades.
Sorry, do you think billionaires own all these media companies because they're profitable? Bezos didn't buy WaPo because "Americans consume it."
He did buy it because Americans consumed it. Now they consume what he prints. Well, the ones still reading it.
The US killed 4 million people during the "war on terror" almost all of them civilians. It is funding a genocide right now in Gaza and South Lebanon that has killed almost 100,000 people that we know of. My entire life has been endless wars waged by the US.
It might be a shock to you but you don't need propaganda to think that the US is a terrorist rogue state.
Propaganda fueled that war, or did you forget Fox News existed? Created specifically to fuel wars and boost GOP talking points, by a billionaire who hated that Nixon was forced to resign.
I know that very well. I was responding to the original comment which seemed to suggest that anti Americanism is whipped up by propaganda.
