What did/does Sir Patrick Stuart mean to you? (lemmy.world)

He means more to me than I thought.

I was raised in an abusive home, and Star Trek TNG was one of my few escapes. I remember wanting to be like Captain Picard when I grew up. Confident, kind, direct, capable, and loving.

I don't know if I'm there yet. But I'm trying.

I already miss you. So very much.

Would you mind sharing what he meant/means to you? I think reading your words will help.

Man gave a stellar performance and taught me to speak my truth even if any and all are trying to mess with you

Also, so sad we've never got to see him play Spider Jerusalem in an adaptation of Transmetropolitan. He wrote one of the forewords in the TB, and really would have loved to do the role.
