What did/does Sir Patrick Stuart mean to you? (lemmy.world)

He means more to me than I thought.

I was raised in an abusive home, and Star Trek TNG was one of my few escapes. I remember wanting to be like Captain Picard when I grew up. Confident, kind, direct, capable, and loving.

I don't know if I'm there yet. But I'm trying.

I already miss you. So very much.

Would you mind sharing what he meant/means to you? I think reading your words will help.

nothing ? he was an actor on a few tv shows, he seem'd a nice guy but then so is my neighbour.

I guess I find it a little depressing that there's any reverence for actors, they are... acting. The local plumber, nurse etal do more good in the workd.

Jonas Salk however, mucho respecto.
