I had Allstate for homeowners insurance. Hail storms, wind storms, etc etc, they'd all say "this roof has another 10 years". After a bad hail storm an adjustor came out and outright contradicted himself on what is and isn't hail damage. Denied a claim.

A couple years later we got the tail ends of a hurricane. Trees down, tore off an awning, the works. Adjustor comes out and says it's not enough damage to replace the roof, only minor repairs on 2 slopes. I fought that shit for 15 months. 2 more adjustors came out and the last one I specifically pointed out new water damage on the ceilings in 4 separate locations in 4 separate rooms. At one point they said "why didn't you put a tarp up?" To which I replied "why should I put a tarp up if there was no roof damage?"

They finally agreed to a new roof, and had to pay out to repair ceiling damage.

A month after construction was complete I cancelled the plan and moved to USAA (who is also a pain). I would still occasionally get calls from the local Allstate rep asking about switching back to which I tell them to fuck off.

I worked for both insurance companies, yeah they both do anything not to pay out claims.

Oh yeah, I had lightning strike a tree which jumped to the AC then some other electrical. Fried the AC, a tv, my security DVR, new GPU and 1 other small thing. I had an AC guy come out and declare it dead. She fucked around for a couple weeks, wouldn't follow up, then went on vacation for 2 weeks, and when she got back they had to send out their own tRuStEd HVAC guy to do an inspection that I was not allowed to be in attendance for.

I finally got a new AC and everything was replaced but holy fuck that's a nightmare to go through for something simple

I swear USAA used to be better, first time a door dasher crashed into my house they were along for the ride the whole time, the second time it happened I had to do all the legwork myself. Leagues different behavior, it’s like they’re just like the rest of the companies anymore.

The person who taught me what I needed to pass the exam bragged about USAA. But man I don't know what happen. But they are super expensive and suck ass to their members. And the contractor I worked under had zero training so when you call customer service we had no had no way to help you. Far has claims that department sucks. Also the road side don't be surprised you pay for it but be told you don't have it when you try to use it.

The company gone down hill and mo clue why. Glad gone from there. Now trying sell insurance for myself, but its a challenge in itself.
