Hi everyone! I recently switched from Reddit and I'm still getting used to Lemmy.

I'm looking for an Android client that feels as close as possible to the Reddit experience: a clean feed, smooth gestures, easy community switching and strong user expirience.

I've seen many options (Voyager, Thunder, Jerboa, Summit, Raccoon, Interstellar) and I'm not sure which one to pick. Open source is a plus for me.

What do you use, and why? Any pros and cons from daily use would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

I try voyager but the probleme that i found is notifications. The app has no notifications permission so you should open the app to show received msg or cmts. Did you know what the solution ?

As a voyager user, I actually like the lack of notifications. I understand not everyone will agree, but I don't want this app to be able to interrupt me.

But from a technical perspective, I think it is probably a non trivial problem to solve, since the server w; uld need a way to let the client know there is a new notification, which would mean either having a constant connection open (wasting battery life), using google Firebase (which I imagine there's a solid overlap of Lemmy users and degooglers), or the app and server supporting unified push. You'd also have to account for multiple accounts, potentially on different instances, to effectively multiplying the above.
